Dr. Stacy Mallare
DNP, PMHNP-BC
I am a doctorally prepared, nationally board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner providing medication management and supportive psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults. I treat a range of concerns including depression, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, eating disorders, trauma-related disorders (including PTSD), and substance use disorders. My therapeutic approach draws from evidence-based modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). I am LGBTQ-affirming and committed to creating a safe, inclusive space for all patients.
My practice is fully virtual, offering a private and confidential setting with flexible scheduling, including evening appointments. I view treatment as a collaborative process—together, we will clarify your goals and develop a personalized plan of care. You bring your lived experience and insight, and I provide clinical guidance, education, advocacy, and medication support when appropriate.
My Philosophy
I believe mental health is closely connected to physical health, life experiences, and social environments. I approach care with curiosity, compassion, and an understanding of how trauma can impact emotional well-being. I work to reduce stigma around mental health and support patients in taking an active, informed role in their treatment using evidence-based care.
Outside the Office
I am a Maryland native who enjoys hiking, running, yoga, Pilates, crafting, reading, cooking, and watching comedy movies. I love spending time with friends and family and share my home with a cat (though I’m a dog lover too).
